R.J. Corman Railroad Group last week announced Yvan Caffari has retired from the company's board after 15 years of service.

Caffari joined the board in 2006. His extensive career in the railroad industry played a significant role in growing and developing the company's operations, R.J. Corman officials said in a press release.

Prior to joining R.J. Corman, Caffari spent 10 years working in West Africa's rail industry, later joining Swiss railroad maintenance equipment manufacturer MATISA. He retired as vice president of marketing there and became president of the company's employee pension fund. He also served eight years on Swissrail's executive committee, two of those years as president.

"Mr. Caffari is not only an esteemed and admired leader and seasoned veteran of the railroad industry, but an integral part of R. J. Corman’s history. We wish him the best for this well-deserved retirement," said Ed Quinn, R.J. Corman president and CEO.
