DART re-elects board officers; Butler resigns from MARTA's board

Dallas Area Rapid Transit's (DART) board has re-elected Robert Strauss as chairman for the coming year.

A partner at the Dallas law firm Strasburger & Price L.L.P., Strauss was appointed to the DART board by the Dallas City Council in 2006.

The board also re-elected Faye Moses Wilkins as vice chair; Richard Carrizales as secretary; and Gary Slagel as assistant secretary.  

Meanwhile, Wendy Butler resigned Oct. 1 from the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority's board. She joined the board in 2011 and most recently served on its Operations and Safety Committee. Butler's resignation comes as she seeks an open seat on the Dekalb, Ga., Board of Commissioners.
