Fort Worth's The T reappoints Mahaffey chair; DCTA adds two board members

The Fort Worth Transportation Authority’s board (The T) reelected Scott Mahaffey as chair on Monday.

Mahaffey serves as president and chief executive officer of Cohn & Gregory Inc., according to The T’s press release.

Mahaffey will serve as the agency's chair for fiscal-year 2016. The board also reelected Andre' McEwing vice chair and Carter Burdette secretary. McEwing is manager of supplier diversity for the Tarrant County College District, while Burdette is an attorney and former Forth Worth City Council member.

Meanwhile, the Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) announced the addition of Tom Winterburn and Connie White to its board. Winterburn, who represents Corinth, Texas, was sworn in Sept. 24, while White was sworn in on Aug. 27.

Adding the members will help position the board to expand DCTA's system, increase ridership and better address current and future transportation needs in the county, agency officials said in a press release.
