GATX Corp. recently named James Earl executive vice president and chief operating officer, and Clifford Porzenheim, VP of strategic growth.

Most recently EVP-rail, Earl joined GATX Capital’s Rail Group in 1988 as director. He has since held various sales, marketing, fleet management, customer service and locomotive operations positions. Prior to GATX, Earl served as director of service and equipment planning for the Soo Line Railroad, and terminal superintendent and assistant trainmaster for Southern Pacific Railroad.

Most recently SVP of fleet management and marketing for GATX Rail, Porzenheim joined GATX in 1996 as director of corporate development. He later served as VP of corporate strategy. Prior to GATX, Porzenheim worked as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and A.T. Kearney.

GATX provides leasing, financing and related services to the rail, marine and other industries.
