Gannet Fleming recently named Raymond Hofsass national transit director. He also serves as a senior vice president for the international consulting engineering and construction management firm.

Hofsass will be responsible for coordinating Gannett Fleming’s transit and rail activities, managing and overseeing the Transit and Rail Practice Leadership Team, providing strategic business development, managing commitments on major transit assignments, and coordinating transit and rail systems, and maintenance facilities.

Also, Gannett Fleming Transit & Rail Systems named Earle Hughes senior vice president.

He will be responsible for managing the design and renovation of rail and transit projects. After Sept. 11, 2001, Hughes provided construction-management services for two subway line restoration projects for MTA New York City Transit. Currently, he is managing a preliminary engineering and environmental services project for Corridor One Regional Rail in Harrisburg, Pa.
