Gioe joins Cando Rail as VP of service delivery

Rail industry executive Joe Gioe has joined Cando Rail & Terminals as vice president of service delivery.

Most recently, Gioe was president, CEO and chairman of the Indiana Rail Road Co. While there, Gioe guided the company through a period of strategic growth and efficiency improvements, and strengthened customer partnerships, said Cando Chief Operating Officer Paul Duncan in a post on LinkedIn. 

"He is extremely well positioned to support our service delivery teams as we continue to expand our operations across North America," said Duncan, who was named Cando's COO in May.

Prior to his work at the Indiana Rail Road, Gioe served in VP and assistant VP roles at Norfolk Southern Railway, and worked for several years at BNSF Railway.
