The Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) last week installed its 2021 board and officers, including Noel Hacegaba as chairman.

Hacegaba is deputy executive director of the Port of Long Beach, which he joined in 2010.

"Noel's and the Port of Long Beach's commitment to the industry and the association have helped to progress important intermodal initiatives," said IANA President and Chief Executive Officer Joni Casey in a press release. "As we move into another challenging year, we will certainly need Noel's breadth of knowledge and insight as IANA's chairman."

The other officers elected are Shelli Austin, president of InTek Freight & Logistics Inc., as vice chairman; and Tom Williams, group vice president of consumer products at BNSF Railway Co., as treasurer.

Two other directors were reelected to the board: Kevin Lhotak of Reliable Transportation Specialists Inc.; and Douglas Hoehn of Milestone Equipment Holdings. The term of each board seat is three years.

The board also welcomed one new member: Barbara Melvin of South Carolina Ports Authority.
