The Intermodal Transportation Institute (ITI) at the University of Denver has added five board members, each of whom will serve a three-year term.The new members are:• Cynthia Ott, vice president of human resources for Maersk Line in North America;• Terry Ruhl, president of the transportation market for CH2M HILL;• Mary Ellen Russell, chief human resource officer for Genesee & Wyoming Inc.;• Bradley Thomas, president of FirstGroup America’s First Transit and First Services division; and• Dean Wise, vice president of network strategy for BNSF Railway Co."The diversity and experience of these new members to the ITI board enhance an already strong framework for the academic programs that ITI has and will be offering to the industry,” said ITI Executive Director William DeWitt III in a press release. "The depth and breadth of experience of all of the ITI board members represents a unique opportunity for a 360-degree view of the most important issues facing our industry."The board serves as a guide for the institute's educational programs, provides leadership and strategic direction to ITI, and shares expertise and resources to the academic and outreach endeavors of the program. ITI offers an executive master’s program that awards a Master of Science degree in intermodal transportation management from the University of Denver.
