The Midwest Association of Rail Shippers (MARS) introduced its 2024 Executive Committee at its recent winter meeting held in Lombard, Illinois.
The elected officers for 2024 are: Matt O'Kray of Transtar, president; Steve Blinn of Norfolk Southern Railway, first vice president; and Luke Jones of GATX Corp., second vice president. The Immediate past president is Kathy Bathurst, a marketing and sales professional.
Tony Kazakevicius, director of sales and marketing for Chicago South Shore & South Bend Railroad, was named to the committee, as well.
MARS also announced that its next major gathering will be the organization's summer meeting, which will be held July 8-9 at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
