MARTA elects 2012 board officers

On Monday, the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority’s (MARTA) board elected officers for 2012.
Frederick Daniels Jr. will serve as chairman; Barbara Babbit Kaufman, as vice chairwoman; Juanita Jones Abernathy, as secretary; and Harold Buckley Sr., as treasurer.
“We are entering a critical time period in our existence, and we are committed to moving MARTA forward,” Daniels said in a prepared statement.
