Operation Lifesaver Inc. (OLI) announced yesterday the new members who have joined the nonprofit organization's board.The new members are John Allberry, Steven Covey, Kenneth Glover, John Irwin, Mark Schulze and Jeffrey Songer, according to an OLI press release.Allberry, general director of safety at Union Pacific Railroad, succeeds board member John Simpson, UP's senior manager of grade crossing compliance.Covey and Glover will fill at-large seats. Covey is chief of police and chief security officer at CN, while Glover is senior vice president of safety and compliance at Genesee & Wyoming Inc.Irwin, assistant vice president of safety and environmental/chief safety officer at Norfolk Southern Corp., succeeds Cayela Wimberly on the board. Wimberly is NS' director of grade crossing safety.Schulze, vice president of safety, training and operations support at BNSF Railway Co., replaces Steven Neubauer on the board. Neubauer is BNSF's director of field safety support.Songer, chief operating officer and executive vice president at Kansas City Southern, succeeds Danny Lites, director of public safety at KCS."The board of directors and staff of OLI are extremely grateful to the outgoing members for their significant contributions to rail safety education," said OLI President and Chief Executive Officer Bonnie Murphy.
