Pan Am Railways recently promoted David Fink to president to succeed Thomas Steiniger, who is retiring.

Executive vice president since 1998, Fink previously helped start up Aroostook & Bangor Resources, a lumber products firm that co-generates electricity from used railroad crossties. He also served as president of treated wood products firm Perma Treat Corp., and held various materials management positions since beginning his transportation career with General Motors Corp.

Pan Am Railways also appointed Sydney Culliford EVP to succeed Fink and named Michael Bostwick senior VP of marketing and sales; Edwin Motte, VP of transportation; Roger Bergeron, VP of special projects; John Steiniger, assistant VP of engineering; and James Olson, AVP of mechanical to succeed Martin Moore, who’s retiring.

Formerly Guilford Rail System, Pan Am Railways owns the Springfield Terminal Railroad Co., Boston and Maine Corp., and Maine Central Railroad Co., which operate a total of 1,600 track miles in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont. The company also owns the Pan Am Clipper Connection charter airline.
