American Track, a subsidiary of North American Rail Solutions, has appointed Stacey Posey chief operating officer. Posey began his railroad career in 2001 with CSX, where he held positions in engineering and transportation. He later served as vice president of operations and president/CEO of Montana Rail Link. Posey's background also includes leadership roles at OmniTRAX Inc., where he contributed to engineering, operations and acquisitions. "We could not be happier to have the opportunity to add someone of Stacey's caliber to the team," said North American Rail Solutions CEO Tom Lucario in a press release. "We look forward to bringing his 'in the field' style of leadership to the broader organization."

The Port of New Orleans (Port NOLA) has named Chris Gilmore chief engineering officer. Previously, Gilmore served as Port Nola's vice president of engineering and program management, a role in which he was instrumental in advancing major infrastructure initiatives. He also has served as the project leader for the Louisiana International Terminal. In his new role, Gilmore will oversee the port's engineering, facilities, maintenance and environmental teams. "[Gilmore] brings deep expertise, institutional knowledge, and unwavering dedication to guide our infrastructure strategy, most notably the transformative Louisiana International Terminal project that will strengthen Louisiana’s role as a global gateway," said Beth Branch, president and CEO of Port NOLA and CEO of New Orleans Public Belt Railroad, in a press release.

Delmarva Central Railroad (DCR) hosted U.S. Sens. Chris Coons (D-Del.) and Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del.), along with U.S. Rep. Sarah McBride (D-Del.), for a tour of the railroad's facilities in Harrington, Delaware, on Aug. 20. The visit underscored how rail connections are driving growth across Delaware by supporting industrial development, creating opportunity for producers and relieving local roads, according to a press release from GoRail, a nonprofit organization that supports rail transportation solutions. The event began with a briefing led by Mike Tetler, executive vice president and chief information officer of Carload Express, which operates DCR. Tetler highlighted the railroad’s service to agricultural producers and manufacturers, noting that DCR hauls about 30,000 carloads annually, a figure that has grown substantially as the railroad reinvests in its operations and future growth. He also emphasized the impact of an $18.8 million grant from the Federal Railroad Administration's Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements program, which is funding upgrades across DCR territory in Delaware and Maryland to improve safety, track conditions and reliability for shippers.
