Phoenix’s Valley Metro Regional Public Transportation Authority recently named Christopher Curcio and Carol Ketcherside deputy executive directors of finance and planning, respectively.

Curcio most recently served as a deputy director of the city of Phoenix’s parks department. Ketcherside previously was executive director of the South West Transit Association, which represents public-transit agencies in seven states.

Valley Metro currently is constructing a 20-mile light-rail system connecting the cities of Phoenix, Tempe and Mesa, Ariz. Scheduled to open in 2008, the line will include 27 stations.
