R. J. Corman Railroad Co. LLC has named Eric Hosey vice president of operations.

He will direct the development and implementation of transportation plans and safety initiatives across the company’s short lines, R. J. Corman officials said in a press release.

With 27 years of rail industry experience, Hosey has held a variety of positions. He entered the industry with Norfolk Southern Railway in 1994 prior to taking a position at Amtrak, where he subsequently assumed positions of increasing responsibilities, from field management to staff management.

Hosey then spent roughly five years in the regional freight-rail sector serving as VP of the northeast region for Genesee & Wyoming Inc. before returning to Amtrak as AVP of transportation-Southwest Division. Most recently, he was chief operating officer at Metrolink in Los Angeles since 2019.
