R. J. Corman Railroad Co. yesterday announced Matthew Igoe is the company's new president and chief operating officer.
Igoe is responsible for transportation, mechanical, engineering and overall performance of R. J. Corman's 19 short lines, R. J. Corman officials said in a press release.
Most recently, Igoe served as BNSF Railway's executive vice president of operations, a position he held since January 2021. He previously held various roles in transportation before becoming vice president of service design and performance in 2016, then VP of transportation in 2017.
Prior to joining BNSF in 1998 as a management trainee, Igoe served as an officer in the U.S. Army.
"My focus will be on delivering operational excellence, supporting our employees and partnering with customers to create value," said Igoe. "This is an incredible opportunity to build on R. J. Corman’s excellent reputation as a valued partner and help shape the future of short line railroading."
