RailWorks appoints Riddett president, CEO

RailWorks Corp. has named Kevin Riddett president and chief executive officer, the company announced today.

Riddett most recently served as president of the Siemens Mobility Division, where he was responsible for Siemens' North American transportation companies, including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification, intelligent traffic management systems and rail service businesses.

Prior to Siemens, Riddett served as CEO of Invensys Rail, which Siemens acquired. In addition, he has served as president and CEO of North American tire and global fiber optic businesses of Pirelli & Co., and held executive positions with Ansaldo STS USA, Union Switch and Signal, and Trans Control Corp.

Riddett is "uniquely qualified" to head RailWorks, a track and transit systems construction and maintenance services provider, said Chairman Greg Muldoon said in a press release.

"He has extensive experience in our markets and already knows and has worked with many of our people and our customers," said Muldoon. "Kevin's keen market insights will be invaluable as RailWorks expands its scope of services and improves its service delivery to customers."
