Repauno Port & Rail Terminal officials announced last week that Harry Alexander has been hired to serve as chief executive officer.
Alexander has more than 25 years of industry experience. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of commercial operations for Energy Transfer. He has also worked for Sunoco Logistics Partners.
A subsidiary of Fortress Transportation and Infrastructure Investors LLC (FTAI), the port and rail terminal are located along the Delaware River in Gibbstown, New Jersey. In addition to Alexander's appointment, Repauno officials announced the facility received and loaded its first liquified petroleum gas marine vessel, using a new rail-to-ship loading system.
"The state-of-the-art terminal is designed to safely and efficiently handle a wide variety of freight, providing critical logistics services to a multitude of industrial segments," said Joe Adams, chairman and CEO of FTAI, in a press release.
Alexander "will bring strategic oversight, vision and leadership to guide this facility toward realizing its full potential as a world class multimodal hub," Adams added.
