The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) has appointed Leo Levenson chief financial officer.

He'll oversee the agency's $1.2 billion annual operating and $500 million capital budgets.

Levenson previously served as deputy director, finance and administration and CFO of the city and county of San Francisco's Department of Technology. He also has worked in other city financial leadership positions with the San Francisco Controller's Office and the San Francisco Human Services Agency.

Before his work for the city, Levenson served in the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

At SFMTA, Levenson will succeed Sonali Bose, who is slated to retire this week.
