Metro St. Louis recently named Martha Bloodsaw vice president of human resources, and Byron Witherspoon, senior supplier diversity specialist.

With more than 15 years’ experience in human resources administration, Bloodsaw will be responsible for managing recruitment, compensation, health and retirement benefits, labor relations, workforce diversity, organization development and human resource law compliance. She previously served Graybar Electric as director of change management and manager of personnel, directing communication and training of change-management strategies.

With 10 years’ experience directing disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) programs, Witherspoon will be responsible for ensuring minority and women contractors are given a fair opportunity to bid on public projects through Metro’s DBE program, workforce diversity and outreach.
