Transportation Technology Center Inc. (TTCI) recently named Bill Moore Ede scientist – communications and train control. He will be responsible for providing consultation, analysis, testing and senior technical leadership for train control projects, especially those involving communications-based technology.

Moore Ede will continue to serve on the North American Joint Positive Train Control program (or Illinois Department of Transportation's Positive Train Control system) engineering team.

He previously served in various capacities for CANAC Inc. and Canadian National Railway Co., and acted as a consultant for railroads in the United States, Australia, Brazil, Kenya, Korea, Nigeria, Peru, Tanzania, Thailand and Uganda through his CANAC association.

Instrumental in the conceptualization and development of advanced train-control systems, Moore Ede has extensive experience in long-range planning/design, railway operational analysis for yards and lines, and transportation engineering analysis, including development and use of associated computerized tools, TTCI officials said in a prepared statement.
