U.S. Sens. Tom Carper (D-Del.), chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee (EPW) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), ranking member of the committee, yesterday announced the subcommittee assignments for the 118th Congress.
Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) was named chair of the Subcommittee on Transportation and Infrastructure. Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) is the subcommittee’s ranking member.
The subcommittee's other members are Sens. Ben Cardin (D-Md.), Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), Ed Markey (D-Mass.), Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.), Alex Padilla (D-Calif.), John Fetterman (D-Penn.), Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.), Markwayne Mullin (R-Okla.), Pete Ricketts (R-Neb.), John Boozman (R-Ark.), Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).
Meanwhile, House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman U.S. Rep. Sam Graves (R-Mo.) announced the vice chairs of its subcommittees, including Rep. Brandon Williams (R-N.Y.) of Railroads, Pipelines and Hazardous Materials. In January, Graves announced Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas) will chair the subcommittee.
Last week, Graves named Rep. Jeff Van Drew (R-N.J.) as T&I's vice chair.
