Last week, Union Switch & Signal Inc. (US&S) named Yolande Burnham vice president of manufacturing and supply-chain management.

She most recently served as president of her own consulting firm, which specializes in global supply-chain management. Burnham previously served Emerson Electric Co. for more than 17 years, lastly as VP of global strategic supply and asset management. She also held various positions in marketing, global contracts, manufacturing, supply chain and asset management.

"[Burnham] brings a wealth of international business experience to our company, and with a growing need to globally source our sub components, Yolande will help ensure that US&S continues to provide high quality products that are cost competitive," said US&S President and Chief Executive Officer Ken Burk in a prepared statement.

US&S markets signaling, automation and control equipment and systems to the railroad and mass transit industries.
