Bright and early: NJ Transit to add morning train on River LINE

advertisement

Beginning Jan. 18, New Jersey Transit will provide earlier morning service to Camden on its River LINE so passengers can make earlier train and bus connections in Philadelphia.

The first Camden-bound River LINE light-rail train will leave Cinnaminson at 6:16 a.m. — 28 minutes earlier than the current schedule — and arrive at the Walter Rand Transportation Center at 6:34 a.m.

Since opening the River LINE in March 2004, NJ Transit has continued to increase service along the Trenton-to-Camden line. In June, the agency began offering 15-minute departures during the morning rush hour and evening rush hour, which was extended to 8 p.m. In September, NJ Transit began providing earlier Trenton-bound service from Florence to Roebling to match connections with Northeast Corridor trains.
