Next month, CSX Transportation will conduct its first-ever e-business customer seminar. The railroad’s e-business group will host the E-Business Customer Forum, which will be held Oct. 5-6 at the Orlando World Center Marriott in Orlando, Fla.

The forum will include presentations by CSXT Assistant Vice President of Marketing and E-Business Ed Jenkins, Vice President of Customer Service Operations Shelley Mast, and Assistant Vice President of Car Management Steve Potter, as well as CSX Technology President John West. In addition, Jenkins, Mast, Potter and West will conduct a panel discussion.

The event also will include breakout training sessions on CSXT’s e-business tools and customer services, including demonstrations on how to submit shipping instructions, manage plant inventory and demurrage, monitor traffic, and view, dispute and pay freight bills.

“The forum will allow customers to gain a better understanding of service tools available to them, and allow CSXT to gain an in-depth knowledge of our customers’ expectations and future direction,” said CSXT Director of E-Business Eddie Chesser in a prepared statement.
