Today, ENSCO Inc. announced it received contracts to provide rail-inspection services for two transit-rail operators: Transit America Services Inc. and Brazil’s SuperVia Railway. Terms weren’t disclosed.

For Transit America Services, which operates San Diego’s North County Transit District (NCTD) Coaster and Sprinter commuter services, ENSCO will conduct a track inspection survey on 120 NCTD track miles. TransitAmerica Services is a subsidiary of Herzog Transit Services Inc.

Meanwhile, SuperVia awarded ENSCO an initial contract to conduct a track-inspection survey on passenger-rail lines totaling 250 miles — ENSCO’s first South American project.

ENSCO provides engineering, science and advanced technology services for the transportation, defense, security, environment, aerospace and intelligent automation industries.
