Iowa Interstate Ltd. (IAIS) has traded in its associate membership in the Association of American Railroads for full-fledged membership. Now, IAIS officials can access all AAR services and be eligible to serve on the association's committees.

"The pace of change in the railroad industry has increased exponentially in recent years," said IAIS President and Chief Executive Officer Dennis Miller in a prepared statement. "The AAR has served as the focus behind many of these changes and IAIS is showing its continued support by becoming a full member."

Owned by Railroad Development Corp., IAIS operates 600 track miles between Omaha, Neb., and Chicago on the former Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad's mainline. The regional also operates over a branch line between Bureau and Peoria, Ill.
