KCS reassigns Goode to VP post; RailAmerica assigns three execs to VP positions

Kansas City Southern has promoted Gene Goode from assistant vice president of finance to vice president-administration for the Kansas City Southern Railway Co. He will report to Executive VP of Corporate Affairs Warren Erdman.

Since joining KCS in 1980, Goode has served in various accounting, comptroller and finance positions.

Meanwhile, RailAmerica Inc. has named Randy Pianin vice president, corporate controller and principal accounting officer; Harold Tynes, VP-financial services and treasurer; and Ira Berger, VP-financial planning and investor relations.

Most recently senior VP-design, print and ship business for Office Depot, Pianin has more than 24 years of accounting, finance and operations experience. He previously was SVP-finance and controller for Office Depot, and spent 13 years in public accounting and management with Deloitte & Touche L.L.C.

Tynes joined RailAmerica in July 2007 as VP and controller, and Berger joined the company in July 2008 as VP-financial planning and analysis.
