During the visit, Terry LeMaster, TRAM's founder and president, gave an overview of the company and its current operations. A member of the National Railroad Construction & Maintenance Association (NRC), TRAM currently employs 25 people and has served clients throughout the Midwest and southeast United States for more than 30 years.

Other attendees included Leslia LeMaster Wilson, operations manager at TRAM; Lindsey LeMaster, business development manager at the company; Anthony Ruckel, judge executive in Lewis County, Ky.; and Lindsey Collins, vice president of grassroots advocacy at the NRC. Kentucky State Sens. Steve West (R) and Robin Webb (D) were also present.

Noem and the other guests walked through TRAM's rail yard, where the company maintains a large inventory of relay rail and other railroad track material, NRC officials said in a press release.

Those participating in the tour discussed extending the positive train control deadline, as well as extending the 45G short-line tax credit.
