Last month, Miller Felpax Corp. reached an agreement with CMBA Indústria Mechánica Ltda. to exclusively distribute the Brazilian supplier's traction-motor support bearings in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Since 1958, CMBA has become South America's leading traction-motor support bearings supplier, according to a prepared statement. In 1966, the company obtained ABEX Corp.'s bearing technology license.

The partnership will enable Miller Felpax to market more complete combination kits, including traction-motor support bearings, wick lubricators, seal rings and gear-case seals, said Steven Blue, president and chief executive officer of the company, which produces locomotive and rail-car parts.

"CMBA is a world-class company that has produced the same bearing as Magnus Farley for over 40 years," he said.
