Yesterday, rail information services provider RMI announced the 12 winners of its 2011 FastTrack Awards, which recognize customers’ efforts to streamline or automate processes and improve procedures using RMI’s services.

The awards are based on several criteria and the level to which a customer maximized its use of services — including RailConnect, RailConnect TMS, ExpressYard and ShipperConnect — to improve productivity, according to RMI.

The 2011 winners are the Brownsville & Rio Grande International Railroad; Canton Railroad; Carload Express; Genesee & Wyoming Inc.’s Georgia Southwestern Railroad; Katoen Natie Gulf Coast Inc.; Indiana Eastern Railroad; Iowa Interstate Railroad Ltd.; Massachusetts Coastal Railroad; Modesto & Empire Traction Co.; Port Terminal Railroad Association; RailAmerica Inc.’s New England Central Railroad; and Tacoma Municipal Belt Line Railroad.
