Software-design companies team up to help shippers track cargo across international and domestic modes

Cleartrack Information Network Inc. and GT Nexus Aug. 6 formed a partnership aimed at developing global e-logistics software, which would enable shippers to use one Internet-based system to monitor their rail, truck and ocean-going freight.
The software would be designed to provide cargo visibility across international and domestic shipments, whether inland domestic moves by train or truck, or international ocean-carrier shipments.
The companies' officials claim Cleartrack's Hawk Next Generation Visibility™ 4.0 software and GT Nexus' e-logistics solution are highly compatible platforms. The companies are collaborating on strategic customer accounts and plan to soon launch an extensive marketing and sales campaign for the combined software.
Cleartrack is a supply-chain event management service firm; GT Nexus provides global e-logistics software.
