The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) recently named Brenda Lee Yager director of government and industry affairs. She will serve as the primary liaison to Congress.

With nearly three decades of legal, and state and federal government experience, Yager joined NTSB in 2000 as director, transportation disaster assistance. Prior to NTSB, she served as legislative counsel for the state of Illinois’ Department of Commerce and Community Affairs in Washington, D.C. Yager also has held several federal positions, including assistant administrator for government and industry affairs for the Federal Aviation Administration, and legislative counsel to ambassador-at-large for the U.S. Department of State.
