USDOT appoints Brecht-Clark, Dillingham and Row to administrative posts

Last week, the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) named Jan Brecht-Clark associate administrator for research, development and technology for the Research and Innovative Technology Administration.

Most recently deputy director for compliance for the Transportation Security Administration, she previously served as director of aviation and transportation security on the White House Homeland Security Council, director of the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Office of Aviation Security Policy and Planning, and deputy director of FAA’s Office of Aviation Research.

The USDOT also named Steve Dillingham director of the Bureau of Transportation Statistics.

He most recently served as chief counsel for Merit Systems Protection Board’s vice chairman. Previously, Dillingham held various research and statistical management positions, including director of the Bureau of Justice Statistics, chief administrator of the American Prosecutors Research Institute, and director of research and planning for the Department of Justice’s U.S. Trustee Program.

Finally, the USDOT named Shelley Row director of the Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office.

For the past three years, Row has served as associate executive director for technical programs at the Institute of Transportation Engineers. She previously served as director of transportation operations for the Federal Highway Administration.
