• Bombardier Transportation will unveil its FLEXITY 2 tram and ECO4 energy saving technologies at the 58th World Congress and Exhibition of the International Association of Public Transport in Vienna, which will be held June 7-11. The FLEXITY 2 tram combines low-floor technology with conventional wheel-set bogies to provide passengers low-level entrance and easier access. The tram features an improved carbody concept and cab structure, better corrosion protection and enhanced air-conditioning system, Bombardier said. The ECO4 technologies — which are designed to improve vehicles’ environmental and total performance — include the BOMBARDIER EBI Drive 50 Driver Assistance System, PRIMOVE catenary-free operation, MITRAC Energy Saver and CITYFLO 650 communication-based train control system.

• Parsons Brinckerhoff has named William Goldstein a senior advisor in its New York City office. He will head the engineering and consulting firm’s capital program advisory services, which focus on transportation infrastructure and school construction. Goldstein most recently was deputy executive director for capital programs at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. He previously served as director of capital program management for the New York State Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and president and chief executive officer of the New York City School Construction Authority.

• OPW Fluid Transfer Group has appointed Steven Van Pee chief financial officer to succeed Susan Hathaway, who recently became CFO of Dover Corp. sister company OPW Fueling Components. Van Pee most recently was CFO for Waukesha Bearings. He previously served OPW parent Dover Corp. as senior financial analyst in 2000. Van Pee joined Waukesha Bearings as financial analyst in 2005.
