The Watco Cos. Inc. recently made several organizational and management changes.

The holding company — which owns 19 short lines operating in 16 states — broadened the business development group’s authority to include all acquisition projects. Watco also named Allan Roach senior vice president of business development to lead the firm’s growth.

In addition, the company restructured the sales and marketing group, and appointed Kirk Hawley SVP of marketing, sales and service assurance. Most recently SVP of marketing, Hawley will be responsible for Watco Transportation Services Inc. sales and marketing, and customer service departments.

Watco also named Shasta Stump VP of sales and marketing for the new Grand Elk Railroad; Pat Cedeno, VP of sales and marketing for the Central region; Amy Parady, VP of sales and marketing for the Gulf region; Becky Fearmonti, senior marketing manager for the South Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad; and Ron Spencer, manager of customer service.

Finally, Watco renamed Reload Inc. — its transload and intermodal business — Watco Transload and Intermodal Services. The company also named Kevin Goins SVP and chief operating officer; Tim Holan, VP of sales and marketing; and Chris Salek, VP of business development for the transload/intermodal unit.
