The Trak-Star™ RailBoss™ rail drill model RB2SPD features a Honda 2.5-horsepower, four-stroke gas engine with Oil Alert (no gas mixing needed) for 70- to 155-pound rail. Quill feed spindle and single stroke feed handle allow the operator to stand when drilling. The high-torque two speed gearbox is designed to provide power for drilling 7/8-inch to 1-11/16-inch diameters in fully heat-treated rail in under 15 seconds utilizing Trak-Star Twister™ bits. It features Trak-Star's Quick Release Tool System with positive slug ejection. Ten-point clamping is designed to provide optimal stability and rigidity and it allows for drilling over concrete ties. There are no exposed rotating parts when the unit is clamped on the rail for safety. The unit weighs 49 pounds.
