Louisville & Indiana Railroad (LIRC) has earned the 2023 Military Friendly® Employer designation.

Military Friendly is the standard that measures an organization’s commitment, effort and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefits for the military community. Employers are evaluated using public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey.

"Through our hiring efforts we have and will continue to focus on bringing military veterans into our railroad family to strengthen our team. LIRC feels that hiring veterans is the right thing to do and we remain committed to those [who] have served," said LIRC President John Goldman in a press release.

LIRC will be included among other 2023 Military Friendly Employers in the December issue of G.I. Jobs magazine and on MilitaryFriendly.com. More than 1,000 companies participated in the 2023 Military Friendly survey.

LIRC is a subsidiary of Anacostia Rail Holdings Co.
