Patriot Rail Co. LLC will serve a 620-acre industrial park in the Denver area under a new agreement with Rocky Mountain Industrials Inc. (RMI).

The agreement calls for Patriot Rail to provide operational and rail-related services within Rocky Mountain Rail Park, located next to the Colorado Air and Space Port in Adams County along Denver's Interstate 70 growth corridor, RMI officials said in a press release.

The rail park features a direct interchange with Union Pacific Railroad.

"We look forward to providing premier freight-rail service options to customers at this world-class facility in the dynamic and accelerating Denver region," said Patriot Rail President and CEO John Fenton.

Rail service at the park is anticipated to begin late this year. The development platform — with 15 miles of track within its manifest and unit-train rail infrastructure at full buildout — is designed to host industrial users via large land parcels, rail infrastructure, heavy industrial zoning and proximity to the Denver area, RMI officials said.

Patriot Rail operates 32 regionals and short lines, a scenic rail excursion train and rail-related services companies in 23 states.
