Rail supplier news from AECOM, NRC, Alstom and OPW (March 4)

AECOM has appointed Carla Christofferson executive vice president and general counsel. Formerly a managing partner at law firm O'Melveny & Myers LLP, Christofferson will oversee all aspects of AECOM's global legal function in her new role.

The National Railroad Construction and Maintenance Association will hold a railroad equipment auction April 17 in Little Rock, Ark. The auction will feature a variety of construction and maintenance equipment, ranging from air compressors and cranes to rail heaters and tie handlers. Two months after beginning operations in Poland, Alstom's Pendolino high-speed trains have run 1 million kilometers (just over 620,000 miles). The company announced that the trains had made 2,000 journeys since opening.

OPW completed reconstruction of websites for its Midland, Civacon and OPW Engineered Systems brands. The new sites are optimized for easier viewing on mobile devices and offer cleaner navigation for users, according to an OPW press release.
