American Industrial Transport Inc. (AITX) has hired Eric Baltz as chief financial officer. Baltz has more than two decades of finance and accounting experience. For the past 14 years, he held roles of increasing responsibility at Peabody Energy, most recently serving as senior vice president and chief accounting officer. “Already hitting the ground running, Eric immediately grasps the steps needed to foster growth and roll out an action plan that integrates accountability, solutions and results,” said AITX President Kurt Higginbotham in a press release.

RailWorks Corp. has partnered with Miller Ingenuity to provide exclusive marketing and sales support for Miller’s ZoneGuard product line. ZoneGuard is a roadway worker protection system that consists of train alert and detection modules that form a communication network to detect track vehicles entering active work zones. Its patented detection technologies create accurate and consistent alerts to protect railway workers.

MERMEC Inc. has named Timothy Collins vice president of business development and sales. Collins will be responsible for defining and executing the company’s strategic business development initiatives while developing new opportunities and creating customized solutions for existing and future customers.
