Cathcart Rail has rebranded as Guardian Rail, company officials said in a press release. The rebrand comes after the company welcomed Scott Driggers as its new CEO on Oct. 2, succeeding Jeff Chick. The new name and logo set the tone for a new chapter of growth for the company and reflects its renewed focus on safety, consistency and operational excellence, company officials said. The name Guardian stands as a symbol of protection, readiness and reliability, they added. The rebrand also coincides with a renewed commitment to strong customer relationships, transparency and employee support, Guardian Rail officials said.

TRAC Intermodal and Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) have entered an agreement allowing TRAC to stage 53-foot domestic chassis directly at FEC terminals. FEC and its customers will benefit from having another chassis alternative that is standardized with GPS integration, TRAC officials said in a press release. For TRAC, the agreement positions the company to support the railroad's domestic chassis needs. TRAC operates 13 chassis pools across the United States and also offers chassis maintenance, repair and storage solutions. A subsidiary of Grupo Mexico Transportes, FEC owns and operates track from Jacksonville to Miami and is the rail provider for Port Miami, Port Everglades and the Port of Palm Beach.
