IMC Cos. and H&M Intermodal Services announced the joint opening of a new truck and depot terminal in Newark, New Jersey. The 10-acre location features a paved and fenced yard with 24-hour security and storage for 1,200 containers. It's located about 3 miles from Port Newark and is equipped with lifts to ground containers as well as a warehouse and freight transfer facility, which is expected to open in spring 2023. Once completed, the facility will feature a 20,000-square-foot warehouse with 21 dock doors and 5,000 square feet of office space.

Transdev has hired Tim Hort as its director of labor relations on the legal team. Hort has more than 25 years of experience developing and maintaining relationships with employees, managers and union leaders in a variety of industries, including transportation, Transdev officials said in a press release. Most recently, Hort was the corporate labor relations manager with BNSF Railway Co.

AllTranstek this week announced a restructuring of its technical services department, in which Steve McCullough was promoted to vice president of technical services. Additionally, Jim Dinell will serve as director of technical services and business development; he was previously VP of technical services. Mike Tait is now director of nondestructive testing and welding. Each has more than 25 years of experience in the rail industry.
