Kontrol Technologies Corp. has been selected to provide multiyear monitoring of emissions and air quality for the expansion of rail infrastructure in Ontario. Kontrol will install a customized emission and air quality solution, as well as provide real-time monitoring over two years for a new rail infrastructure project. "Our real-time monitoring provides important insights and analytics to support the expansion of rail infrastructure with high transparency for impact on local air quality," said Kontrol CEO Paul Ghezzi in a press release. The rail expansion project is part of the ongoing provincial mandate to expand rapid rail transit in key areas of Ontario.

TiEnergy, a railroad tie recycling and repurposing company based in Illinois, announced the appointment of Chris McGill to strategic account manager, contractor implementation. McGill has managed accounts for the company ranging from small general contractors to large corporations. His responsibilities include developing relationships with customers and partner organizations, shepherding contractors through TiEnergy customized solutions, and acting as a liaison with railroad leadership teams, according to a company press release.
