New York Air Brake has appointed Ulisses Camilo president and chief executive officer. He will succeed Michael Hawthorne, who was tapped to lead Bendix Commercial Vehicle Commercial Systems LLC, a sister company within the Knorr-Bremse Group. Camilo has worked in the rail industry for nearly two decades. Most recently, he served as managing director of the rail and transit sector for Atkins NA, an SNC-Lavalin company. He also has held senior leadership roles at Faiveley Transport NA, Parsons Transportation Group, Vossloh NA and Alstom Transportation.

SRT Transportation Solutions has agreed to manage, market and operate Contractors Cargo Cos.' CCRX 40010 20-axle Schnabel rail car. The unit features a custom 40-foot, 850,000-pound capacity deck insert to extend its utility, SRT officials said in a press release. The company manages and maintains speciality rail cars in Siemens' fleet, along with FD rail cars.

Encore Rail Systems Inc. Vice President and General Manager Greg Spilker has been named supplier of the year by the North American Maintenance Railway Club (NAMRC). His personal support of the club has attracted several new members, according to an NAMRC press release. Encore has been a platinum sponsor of the club since 2014. Spilker has worked in the rail maintenance supply industry for more than 24 years. Previously, he worked for Nordco for 17 years.

Herzog Railroad Services Inc. has hired Ron Rhodes as key account manager. He'll represent the company on its Canadian Pacific and CN accounts. A railroader for four decades, Rhodes has worked at Racine Railroad Products, ESCO Equipment Service Co. and Stanley Hydraulic Tools.

HDR Vice President Maggie Walsh was appointed chair of the Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS) International Board. Her two-year term started in May. Since joining WTS, Walsh has held local and national positions, including as president of the WTS Chicago chapter. More than 250 HDR women and men are members of WTS, according to a WTS press release.
