Nexxiot hired Roger Gloor as head of the technical department. Gloor previously worked for intermodal logistics service provider Bertschi AG, where he oversaw operations and facilitated innovation for customers around the globe, Nexxiot officials said in a press release. He has designed and developed three types of ISO tank containers and is president of the Association of Swiss Tank Cleaning Systems, which advocates for the sustainable use of materials and resources for reduced emissions.

Keolis has partnered with the Los Angeles SkyRail Express (LASRE), the team that won a contract from the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority for the Sepulveda Transit Corridor project. LASRE is developing a driverless, straddle-type transit system to serve a high-capacity network in Southern California. The project is designed to ease congestion on the Interstate 405 corridor between the San Fernando Valley and the west side of Los Angeles.

Leclanche was selected by Croatian rail vehicle manufacturer KONCAR Electric Vehicles to provide battery systems under a new state railroad contract. Leclanche will supply its INT-53 Energy rail battery system for two KONCAR-built trains for HZPP, the national railway operator. The trains run on passenger-rail routes around the cities of Varazdin, Osijek, Virovitica and Bjelovar. The INT-53 battery packs are modular, scalable lithium-ion cells for trains operating on partial electric or nonelectric routes.
