Progress Rail has signed a contract with PT Kereta Indonesia (PT KAI) for 54 EMD® GT38AC freight locomotives for transportation in South Sumatra, Indonesia, to expand the railway's existing fleet. "This collaboration between KAI and Progress Rail is one of our innovations to advance railways in Indonesia,” said KAI President Director Didiek Hartantyo in a press release. "With the addition of a fleet that has the latest technology, it is expected that KAI can increase its contribution to the need for reliable and environmentally friendly transportation of goods." The new EMD locomotives join a fleet of 91 GT38AC locomotives delivered to PT KAI since 2011.

Brookville Equipment Corp. is now certified compliant with ISO 9001:2015 standards per DEKRA, an ANSI National Accreditation Board. The campus-based certification covers the company’s facilities in Brookville, Pennsylvania, and will complement the organization’s long-standing Association of American Railroad (AAR) M-1003 Certification for its Quality Assurance Program, which has been held since 2002.
