Wabtec Corp. and Deutsche Bahn have a new maintenance and operation agreement covering Wabtec equipment on DB's trains.

Wabtec Corp. and Deutsche Bahn signed an agreement to optimize the maintenance and operation of Wabtec equipment on board Deutsche Bahn trains. The agreement builds on the companies’ longstanding partnership and helps both drive progress on their sustainable transportation goals. Wabtec and DB will collaborate as a joint steering committee that will focus primarily on door systems, HVAC and brakes. The companies will also work together on design, testing and implementation of product improvements, as well as pilot future technologies.

ENSCO Inc. announced the appointment of Jeff Stevens as its new president, effective July 2. A 23-year ENSCO veteran, Stevens is currently senior vice president for the surface transportation group. He has served in various positions as a rail engineer, program manager, deputy division manager and division VP. Stevens will succeed Boris Nejikovsky, who will retire after 30 years at ENSCO, the past eight as president. During Nejikovsky’s tenure as leader, the company’s revenue grew 66%, according to an ENSCO press release.

RailPros has hired Daniel Carter as chief legal and people officer to oversee the legal and human resources departments. Most recently, Carter worked at CIG Logistics, where he oversaw human resources and talent recruitment and drove efforts to develop and implement environmental, social and governance (ESG) initiatives. He has more than a decade of experience in creating high-performing, engaged teams while driving operational efficiency and negotiating multimillion-dollar contracts, according to a RailPros press release.
