Bombardier Transportation won two international innovation awards for its TrackSafe technology, which is designed to improve safety and productivity for railway track workers. Bombardier received an Innovation Award from the Institution of Engineering and Technology and the Altran UK Foundation Award. The company developed TrackSafe in collaboration with the McMaster RFID Applications Lab at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.

County Materials was selected to manufacture a jumbo-sized box culvert for a CN drainage project near Chetwynd, British Columbia. The project's purpose was to provide a spillway to protect the railway from washing out in the event of usually heavy flooding. The culvert was manufactured at County Materials' plant in Salem, Ill., and was installed by Walter Energy Inc., according to a company press release.

Hulcher Services Inc. recently launched a redesigned website to better educate current and potential customers about the company's diverse capabilities, Hulcher officials said in a press release. The site contains 250 pages of content; an additional 100 PDF versions of equipment and service fliers, and project case studies; videos of select services; and an interactive map.
