• Raimund Klinker, chairman of Knorr-Bremse AG’s executive board, will depart the company “by mutual agreement” to “take up new professional challenges” on Dec. 31, company officials said in a prepared statement. Lorenz Zwingmann, a member of the executive board since 2008, will become executive board “spokesman” for a transitional period, they said. Zwingmann also will maintain his current duties in finance, controlling and information technology.

• Bombardier Transportation recently marked the start of passenger services on the new Bombardier Innovia APM 100 automated people-mover system at the Sacramento International Airport. The new system is the primary passenger connector for the airport’s new Central Terminal B, according to a Bombardier press release.

• Richard Rudolph, a member of PTSI Transportation’s board, has received the United Kingdom Association of Community Rail Partnerships 2011 International Community Rail Award. The award recognizes Rudolph’s “long years of service to passenger rail and sustainable development,” company officials said in a prepared statement. Rudolph is managing director of Rippling Waters in Maine, and was a founding member and chair of the Amtrak Customer Advisory Committee. He also was a founding member and is current chair of the Rail Users’ Network, a passenger-rail and public transport advocacy group.
